Found some info...this species grows in the same habitat as Laelia harpophylla, commonly found growing together on the same tree with their roots interwined.
I grow an harpophylla so now I know...
Thanks anyway.

Update on this one...
It already began a new growth. It blooms by late winter.

I love how quickly you went from "I might get one" to "got it!"

Seems mile you are building a nice collection of Laelias now. Hopefully this one will do as well as your harpophylla!

I wasn't expecting either. Pick it up to water and then I saw it. Apparently it likes my care.

Indeed, after a certain qty of plants to take care, plus free time availability, I'm going into smaller plants. Laelias are the most suitable for my conditions.

Anyone knows how the blooming cycle is?
The sheath grows first, after the new leaf? When the leaf opens the sheath is already there?

I'm asking this because my plant has a tiny sheath emerging from the newest leaf (which is a mature leaf, the highest in the photo).
Not the best photo, but here it is...

Update on this one...first sheath on the way after one and a half year of growing it... I find it surprisingly easy to grow. Let's see if it blooms now.
