Hi everyone! I bought this one about six months ago and was so happy when it started growing a spike! It decided to open it's flowers today when it was very windy so some parts of the flowers go a little damaged. It also sat outside when it droped into the 30's so they leaves took on some damage but the buds survived.

Very cool species. And the plant looks really healthy too, in spite of having to contend with what I assume might be lower-than-average temperatures for Miami. Do the blooms have any scent?

Looks great! Coryanthes are such bizarre orchids, I can't wait for mine to bloom.

Well the pic of the full plant was before the cold front came through. I'm a little too sad to post a full pic now. I never thought to smell it so I don't know if it's fragrant. The "bucket" part of it was filled with water after watering it and I didn't think any fragrance would make it through. Though I am curious now!
