Default catasetum species question

I've read that there are numerous catasetum species that bloom from immature growths before a new pseudobulb is formed. But does anyone know if there are any species that bloom from a mature/newsly-formed pseudobulb? My NOID catasetum is forming four new growths; however, it's not showing any sign of a spike--and it's not a small seedling (largest pseudobulbs are in the neighborhood of seven to eight inches long by two inches in diameter). Since I know that it's very difficult to identify a catasetum based on only the look of its pseudobulbs, I'm trying to narrow my focus down to any species that may bloom at the end of their growth phase in the hopes that this might give me enough information to do some research to see what I can do to encourage it to bloom. Thanks!

Steve
