Cycnodes W.D. out of synch? Spike?
Default Cycnodes W.D. out of synch? Spike?

Good afternoon sage orchidophiles.
I bought this little Cycnodes Wine Delight at our orchid club's March 2023 orchid show. Please note the letters.
A. - this little guy (pseudobulb) looked to me like it started trying to grow out of the 'big' pseudobulb (B) and got stunted. At the time I bought it, (A) had a tiny spike out of the very top with 2 little flowers.

B. - when I bought the plant, this larger pseudobulb did not have any leaves. The seemed to reinforce (to my inexperienced eye) that it had maybe been too small to throw a spike, started a new pseudobulb which stunted but still threw a spike that had a limited bloom. The flower lasted about a week & was then done.

So I thought this was going into dormancy and cut back on watering and it just sat in the kitchen window (south facing).

So a couple days ago, I noticed 'B' had something growing a ways up on the pseudobulb. Since it's located 'up' from the medium, I am suspecting this is a spike, but IDK. Of course this would upend my thought processes on the relationship of the 2 different sizes of pseudobulbs.

So,
1) would like more educated/experienced opinion than my own on whether this is a spike versus new pseudo bulb.
2) if it is a spike, does the watering protocol follow the 'active growth' amount and frequency
or
does the watering protocol stay with 'dormancy' in amount and frequency?

Thank you in advance for your thoughts and sharing your wisdom.
[growing indoors in Nebraska].
