Wow, I love that vaginatum as well... I am going to have to get that species when I come across it next time! Thanks for the recomendation!

What is your culture with this species? Does it like to be kept in a constant supply of moisture like the medusae? What type of media do u use? The only Bulbos I have are wendlandianum, (that I got just recently, from Oak Hill) & one I lost the tag on, but it's either tingabarinum, or taiwanense... Also from Oak Hill, around a year ago. They both came mounted, so they are gonna stay that way, unless they show signs of not liking the status quo... Also, what kind of light are they in? Sorry for all the questions, but your orchids are always so gorgeous, & so I appreciate any advice you have! Thank You in advance!!! :bowing

Cambria I am not that familiar with western KY. I've been to Paducah, Owensboro and driven through western KY to get to MO or Arkansas don't know Daviess Co. I am in Fayette County.

Mary Linn my vaginatum is mounted on a tree fern totem and gets watered daily, even when it is gray and ugly outside.

I have two different tingabarinum - one was from Andy and mounted on one of his sticks and I couldn't keep it wet enough. I scraped it off and mounted it on tree fern and it gets watered daily.

The other tinga is the yellow form and I grow it in a net pot in sphag and it gets watered every 2/3 days - both get Catt light.

I had a wendlandianum, notice I said had. It is a Bulbo that needs a much drier winter. I grew it wet except in the winter months and would only give it sips of water on sunny days. I couldn't get it to flower very much for the size of the plant and gave it away.

Since I didn't get it to flower very well I would take my advice with a grain of salt. Hopefully someone else has been successful and give you better advice.

This is a mature Bulb. vaginatum 'Highjack' AM/AOS

Amazing specimen! It is soooo beautiful. Looks like you have some nice moss growth too on the pot.
