Default Corybas pictus: Yay or nay?

Test week is over, my dendro is blooming, got a high score for Civics, what could be better? New orchids of course!! I want a "rare", unusual, orchid so I looked and saw that corybas pictus is in stock! Should I get it or should I get something else?

Orchidwiz doesn't give any indication about its culture.
IOSPE gives something more...in general I believe your cllimate is suitable for it.

I saw some pictures from the web and I know this vendor does not pluck orchids from the wild.

I'll see the poll and then give it a shot if more people vote for yes. If not I'll let my little brother pick an orchid for me.

That's a beautiful plant and as it is a local species it should do well for you. I voted yes, can't wait to see it if you get one.

I can't wait too
I guess the choice is mine and I can just "force" a corybas

Also, is the vendor correct by saying that the growth cycle is bloom-rest-drop leaves-grow-bloom? I know he is honest but hey maybe he's doing something wrong but maybe it does grow like that.

I would believe him, even though I'm far from you and the vendor.
Anyway, I sugest you to contact some of these people to get some more info. I do this often and, is spite of my random contacts, people are always nice and helpful...and they always like to know more orchid lovers.

I would really like to contact those people, but I'm not too comfortable and I'm not sure my parents will be happy about it hehe. I'll just do "some" googling and see if anything related pops up.

Ok, most of the picture have comments, usually from people looking for the same info as you.
Maybe you'll find something useful...better than looking for google results (that probably will lead you to these same photos).
