If the light is suddenly getting stronger as the angle becomes higher, you might consider a sheer curtain to take the edge off the light a little, or move them a bit away from the window. If the light increases gradually, the plants adjust and certainly benefit from it. Sudden increase can toast leaves... I find right around mid March is the most dangerous - suddenly the sun clears the house or surrounding buildings, so plants suddenly are thrust from winter shade into bright sun. Something to watch, each location is unique.

I place 2 Catts and 2 Dendros each a.m. into this south window before leaving for work, they sit there all day along with 3 hanging Vandas ( I know quite a crowd ).

If I am correct, coming into Spring, Feb- March, the sun will be dramatically brighter in that window. A sheer curtain would help.

I noticed today my sun room was actually hot! The plant leaves were hot because someone had turned the fan down. So, a curtain and a fan.... Will help immensely.

There is a sheer curtain that I keep pulled back for the hanging Vandas.
I wonder if they would mind me keeping it closed? :)

If the light is increasing strongly and rapidly, the Vandas would also probably benefit from a gentler transition.
