Good idea on contacting the vendor directly, knowing the arrival date increases the odds of getting healthy plants at Lowes.
I asked the lowes people when the truck was coming in and could I request certain plants. They said they never knew when the truck comes in as it isn't every week and it sometime between Tuesday and Thursday. They also said the individual stores have no control over what is sent. So I emailed the sun bulb company and hijacked what was in the shipment. It was funny when she told me the arrival estimated date and I called the lowes store to see if it arrived and I kind of shocked the man in the department when I informed him he had a shipment coming in and was it in yet. Even funnier when they came in and the manager helped me open boxes and I arranged the vandas on display. Mine wasn't a bag baby as it is enormous plant but it was nice to know that sun bulb was receptive to what I wanted.
