You can just pot in a plastic basket with holes
Just drill few holes at the bottom.

Hey Mutant,
Following your posts and threads here and on "the other" forum has given me and I'm sure others an immense amount of knowledge and insight into the culture of Paph's. Your enthusiasm is contagious! Keep up the wonderful work.

Meh. I don't like that idea for a number of reasons. The roots will go thru the holes, and repotting will, IMO break most of them. Shame, because it's a great idea.

My epiphytes are going in something like this next year.

I think these little baskets are cute. Someone else had a mini Phal potted in one. However I don't think we can get them in the USA.

Maybe not in Wyoming, but I see these in the dollar stores by me.

Better hole making tools have now been purchased and more air flow around Paph roots are to be expected in the near future.

I had my Paph parishii in a net pot and it's just too dry in my apartment to have any Paphs in something with so many holes.

And *cough* those colours hurt my eyes.

Thank you! I got so happy reading this that I knocked my Paph parishii over so it fell to the floor. Geez, sometimes... I repotted it well when I did it recently so at least it never fell out of the pot. Hopefully this means I didn't disturb the roots too much.

Let's just say I'm enthusiastic because I love Paphs and I'm working on making them love me.

For more humidity around the roots, I set my basket pots in clear, plastic food containers (without the food, of course). This helps keep the air more humid but also allows the medium to dry evenly.

Yeah, I looked at those, but couldn't see quite what I was looking at. I fancied trying something also that had a bit of a slant on it, which is why it's at an angle in the pic.
