Help with new growth identification please :) Female
Default Help with new growth identification please :)

I got this orchid in December, it was my second, the first one I killed thoroughly (root rot then crown rot...r.i.p.) and even though it had a severe case of root rot, it has survived
All that remained of its root system was the thin hard inner root but with the help of fellow forum members I've managed to keep it hanging in there. A few days ago I noticed a new growth...a little bump. I'm hoping desperately that it's a new root. Can anyone tell me for sure one way or another?
