Default Rescuing some orchids from my mom

A couple weeks ago I repotted some phals my mom has been using to decorate her dining room table for the last two years. She had potted two phals together in one large pot and it one of them was growing way bigger and blocking light from the other causing it grow smaller leaves and drop most of its normal sized ones. Also, even though she was using the ice cube method to water, there was so much media in the pot that it never got a chance to dry and it was starting to smell musty.

Unfortunately the tiny one had another disadvantage, it had the worst of the root rot. All of it's roots in the media were lost leaving only one aerial root that is 2inches or so and some nubs that hopefully will grow more soon. So, I've been misting it and babying it as best as I know how. But, the lower leaves are turning yellow. My suspiscions are that it's just dropping them from shock and lack of roots, but I just want to be sure I'm doing everything I can to see that my mom gets both of her orchids back.

The bigger one is also being a bit of a pain but it's not in any danger. The pot it was in before was so big that it started to flop over. So now the leaves are growing at this weird flopped angle, which is great for keeping water out of the crown but not much else. Is there any way to get it to grow straight again? I also had the thought that it would look great mounted and I could just buy my mom a replacement...
