but if you have just one them now we see you next week with your hands full......you will soon find Home Depot ultimately can not support the orchid habit.

Good luck

I got this one from Lowes LOL The company is a local Orchid farmer called Gubler . All of there orchids have tags and you can order from them directly

Here is the picture of the plant for 10 bucks this is a big one.

Of course I will keep checking to see if the ones I want go out of bloom and buy them haha. I remember the tags on the ones I wanted. So I hope no one buys them and I can get them on sale.

The Home depot by my house had a Renanthera and I wanted to get it but this is before I dived in the world of orchids. I had a good gut feeling I should have bought it but I didn't, now I regret it because Renantheras are harder to find and expensive. All well hopefully they get more in in spring.

I am only messing with these Home depot / lowes orchids to see if I can keep them happy. The ones I want cost a lot so I need to save up.

Looks great! These don't want to completely dry out, but shouldn't be kept soggy.

D. Zeschia Lynn is a hybrid-D. biggibum var. compactum. I just purchased mine at Logee's, Hausermann also carries it

Hi dial15, this is a 12 year old thread. Most of the people who posted here haven't been visiting for a long time.

There is no registered hybrid called Den. Zeschia Lynn. It may indeed be the dwarf form of Den. bigibbum, which at one time was called Den. phalaenopsis. (That's why Den. bigibbum hybrids are called 'Den. phal. hybrids'.)

As far as I know there is no registrar of clonal names for species orchids. But whether these are all seedlings or mericlones, I can't tell. I would suspect mericlones because the photos I see online are all very similar. Wild type Den. bigibbum, and most of its hybrids, are large to huge plants. Tiny forms that fit on a windowsill have a much larger market.

Thanks again for you information. I saw it was an older thread. I posted because I search a lot and these old threads have loads of information and I thought i would add what was on my plant tag, Apparently this plant has been around awhile and maybe it is coming back into circulation.
