I am sure the new one will console me.
Many orchid spikes seem surprisingly fragile. I grow many other types of plants and for many, the only way to remove blooms is to cut them. Roses, lilacs, peonies, rose of Sharon...I use clippers. I can play with my jasmines and hibiscus without fear. Orchids, one bump and...oops.

Yes, Orchids are so different...almost like having a pet....I like that about them, more of an attatchment when you have to be so involved. i had posted somwhere else ive had terrariums too, those are very fun! mine is small but have been looking into a large terrarium. They are very easy to maintain, and closed in so nothing will happen to them. Would be fun to grow Mini Orchids in there.
