thanks our exhibit won best of show too..
but more importantly...I had access and bought some great plants to add to my pile up.

Everyone had big plants. They needed small plants like the masdies, leptopes, bulbos. I wasn't even going to bring mine, still a tad shy ya know. Want to get a ribbon? go small. Lots of huge catts, vandas, and MONSTER sized paphs. Small plants aren't as wow as the big ones, but they get ribbons too :P

got to see some REAL paphs..wow.

Im working on getting some pics of it all. I found taking my own pictures at shows is also a daunting task.

I can do this!!!

Awesome! We are gearing up here for our show. It's a double whammy as we are hosting the Mid America Orchid Congress in conjunction with the show.

I'm so excited to attend the speaker events. Jay Phal and Troy Meyers especially!

Beautiful. Are the orchids grown in the glass globes or did you put the pot in the glass globe for display? Congratulations.

What kind of orchids are those, and how are you growing them?! They look fabulous!

a masdevallia coccinea x regina and a leptopes bicolor are the plants.

I buy them "grown" from the greenhouse then put them in a little net basket and then place them in the jars in the windows. Grown is a loosely applied term. Living is more appropriate. They live in the jars is not the same as grown in them. You buy them grown and still have to keep em alive whether they grow or not

and thanks again its still pretty neat after a few days..Ill get over it as soon as I kill an orchid that was doing well
