Not sure what sort of orchids you have. Are they Phals or something else?

Anyway KLN is good as an additive to water/fertiliser which can help promote rooting in orchids. You use it weaker with orchids than it says on the bottle... about 1 or 2 drops in a gallon of water.

I have also found that for Phals, luke warm water when watering promotes roots. Not sure if that works for other orchids but has helped some of my phals get going with roots. Only think is that I think in many Phals the luke warm water hinders spike formation so don't use it on Phals with plenty of roots that you want to get to spike.

Besides the Dyna-Gro KLN that RosieC recommends, there's Superthrive, used by the eyedropper. Also, mollasses water is supposed to encourage roots, and then there's liquid seaweed. Seaweed can grow as much as a foot a day.

The KLN and Superthrive are powerful products that work but should be used judiciously and according to the label. The seaweed can be used once a month without worry.
