This Oncidium Tsiku Maguerit CT Romantic Fantasy is very close to blooming but I noticed mold is growing on the bark and roots. Gadzooks! Am I in trouble here? What should I do?

Don't worry. That kind of mold attacks dead organic matter. The commercial growing cycle of these leads to the medium being very old at the time of first flowering. If you water a few times with chlorinated tap water it may knock down the fungus and will not harm the plant.

Repot after flowering, when new shoots form.

Thanks estación seca! Your erudite response puts my mind at ease. I feared that disaster would strike just as the long anticipated blooms appeared.
