Phalaenopsis new leaf changed color overnight
Question Phalaenopsis new leaf changed color overnight

Hello all,

One of my otherwise healthy looking Phalaenopsis’ newest leaf changed color in the middle overnight, I didn’t touch it at all and I’m not sure what may have caused it.. doesn’t look like mechanical damage, and the part that changed color lost its volume/thickness (if that makes sense?).

Does anyone know what may be the cause and if I should be worried?

Thank you so much in advance!

Could it possibly be heat/sun damage? Look around where the plant is situated and see if you're getting a reflection off something? I have beveled windows whose prism effect have produced that type of burn on a plant (not an orchid) in the fall when leaves dropped off a nearby tree. Had a crystal paperweight near a window that did the same to the top of a table once (yikes!)

Ohh it’s possible! It has been quite sunny recently. It’s by the window with some other orchids, I’ll try to use something to partially filter out the sunlight thank you so much!
