That might be a basal growth starting, and a new leaf too.
Continue what you're doing, try not to disturb the new growth, and give it lots of time.

New leaves!

The roots are small but seem to be working. Still in a high humidity chamber.

At some point I should pot but I don't want to jinx myself!

I think you have a basal growth, and either a new leaf or a second basal growth, and some roots starting.
I'd keep it where it is, don't pot it up until the roots are longer.
Don't be surprised if it cannibalizes the old leaf as the new parts grow.
