Increasing humidity...
Hello all! I am trying to increase humidity for a few of my orchids that are indoors. Since I'm a windowsill grower, I don't have room for a humidity tray nor do I want to set up a humidifier. The humidity in my house is around 40-50% and sometimes will fall into the 30% for a day. My question is, will adding pebbles and water in the bottom of pots and maybe some moss to cover the media help increase humidity some/a lot for the orchid? Many orchids in my small collection are planted in bark mixture in a plastic pot, then set down in a ceramic or terra cotta the has a saucer or bottom that would allow for a little water. Of course I would elevate the plastic pot with the pebbles so the orchid isn't touching the water. Thank you!
