Default Discoloration in leaf

Hi! I just noticed some purplish discoloration on the leaf of one of my phals, does this look like fungal or some other kind of infection? If it’s an infection, should I toss this plant..? Thanks!

The leaf looks quite dehydrated. If it is an old leaf, it just may be on its way out. If the newer leaves are OK, just force of nature. If all show that wrinkling then you need to look at the cause of dehydration - it can be caused by inadequate watering, or by a bad root system that can't absorb water.

Thanks for your reply!

Yes the plant is in very bad shape.. all roots are either very dry and wrinkly or very brown and moldy… I’m keeping it in a cup of water with just the tip of one of its brown roots touching the water. I wasn’t sure what else to do to stop all the roots from molding

I took some more photos of the whole plant, both leaves at the bottom have the same discolorations - are these all from dehydration?

The plant looks very dehydrated. I would suggest potting it up in fresh medium, don't let it get completely dry. (Goal is "humid air" in the root zone). Keep it warm. Give it a chance to grow some new roots. Those old ones, however, can still help to keep the plant hydrated while that happens. Don't cut anything.
