The humidity there is obviously helping to accommodate the roots ----- keeping them nice and alive. You could even try inserting external root tips back into the holes.

Maybe hard to judge from here the density of the roots within the media there. If it is just a case of the roots poking out of the pot due to the fact there are a ton of holes in the sides of it, then it might be ok to just gently coax the root tips to go back into the pot - through a different hole.

Thanks. Im now a firm outside is better person. 10 days in Finland a year or 6 mo in the SE USA. Natural light helps.
