As far as I know it has to do with the difficulty of sterilizing explants.
Contrary to most orchids, their meristems aren't protected with any kind of sheath/scale/protective layer, and sterilisation isn't effective, or kills the cells in the process.

They're also very slow to develop and recalcitrant to common tissue culture media and techniques, so they were somehow left behind.

I’m fairly certain they sent me the wrong plant. They have another plant for sale for half the price that looks exactly like the one I received.

max ----- wait for the flower to open up more before comparing. There may be certain features that are not the same as the open-flower pic. Eg. petal shape could be different.

The pink colour is so nice ----- your flower that is. I purchased a Phrag Grouville (a couple of years ago or so) just for that same nice colour.

The lip details in those two photos are very different.

It is true what E.S. mentioned - about the lip features being different.

I ordered a Hanne Popow to go with my Grouville. I really like the shape and colour of slippers like these ones - including those two pics shown by the O.P. So nice.

The seller agreed with me that they sent me a mislabeled plant and refunded me the price difference—I will be buying from them again. It’s a pretty plant but it’s not the one I asked for. I did find one for sale elsewhere so we’ll see.

I don't know what you were expecting but at least the one you got is quite pretty.
