Default Phrag better picture

Here is a better picture of the Phrag I posted earlier, what are the long tendrils called, they sure do grow long. take care and stay safe. It snowing now here in Kingston Ontario

I tried to take a closeup, not to sure its really clear, will have to learn how to do photos

Gorgeous. Phrag. caudatum? Tendrils are petals. Mine not spiking yet but last yr. petals got to almost 2.5ft.

The colours of this one are really nice. What sort of camera did you use? Phone-cam, or general type? The camera resolution is good there. Focusing can sometimes be hit and miss with phone-cams ----- depending on what features and settings they have. But definitely can see a fair bit of the features of the flowers here ----- very nice.

I was using my phone, I have only taken a few pictures, I guess I shake too much. but will get better

S.D. the photos themselves are just fine. The camera sort of focused on the background instead of the foreground. The background is very nice and sharp. Or --- for the close-up shot, the camera focus was on the long leaf behind the flower.

In slipper orchids, the "tendrils" and the pouch-like lip are the petals. The dorsal structure is a sepal, and most commonly, the lateral sepals are fused into a single synsepal behind the pouch.
