Default Dead dendrobium

Hi, a friend asked me to look at her orchid. It is dead, with a green top with keikei. It is potted kind of soil, UGH. Can someone tell a way to pot the keikei and get mature plants?

Those have good roots. Leave them attached to the old stem, but cut off as much of the dead yellow stem as you can easily. Pot the whole stem segment with keikiis into a new pot with new medium. Medium to large bark works well. Throw away the old dead plant.

I think I can see a bit of green. If there are any green leaves (however small) or green canes it should grow. I would repot it in a small clear orchid pot. I use my own mixture of bark (either small or medium depending upon the plant) with spaghman moss, and tree fern. Or you can just purchase a commercial mix.
Don't overpot and water well.
