Great job with your orchid- definetly a bloom. I know tedro talked about not switching fertilizers but I incorporate a blooming fertilizer prior to an orchid's normal blooming time. Phal's can bloom anytime so add when you like. I've found it very helpful. Congrats on the bud.

hi Rhonda! i did just last time try the Bloom food.
i diluted it a bit from the instructions... because its blue and because it was first time using it.
didn’t hurt anything. i’ll prob use it more.

Hi Tedro
Try using Better Bloom throughout you orchid's blooming cycle. It should boost the blooms and help the orchid put on a good show.

i guess it’s my orchid #1 anniversary. 🎂 🍻🍿🍾
here’s a short album...

Orchid 2020 - Google Photos

...showing chronologically what happened.

the first and last pictures are from today.
pic #2 is when i first got it. some buds did not bloom.
you see i trimmed; later i got fasciated bonus bloom (under left arm) — that produced *22* blooms in a bunch! 21 blooms at once!
then you see i cut spike.
look back at very first picture you see i cut spike again (and i always put cinnamon on it) idk

*during* bonus bloomage i repotted, it liked it.
i originally sat it on table with normal very low watt lamp. i was going to see how much low maintenance low light it could take — i never really found out.
the new medium i used requires water more consistently.

then i put fancy bulb in lamp, then later i got small desk type fixture so i can point bulb down.
—that’s my story and i’m sticking to it.

if it wasn’t for you guys we’d never have made it!

That's the branch-iest Phal I've ever seen. Tedro, you may have mentioned before but I can't remember... was this a grocery store purchase? Just curious.
