Interesting the other day I was talking to a man that operates an air boat in the Glades , he talked about a yellow orchid that sounds like the one you mentioned .
What is a cigar orchid ?

Thanks Cheryl ! That is interesting info. The man I talked to said if it is in bloom can count on it being stolen , the article confirms it , what a shame Thanks again, I read both links .

Yeah permits can be almost impossible to obtain , a friend in Mich.finally got what he needed to remove Cyp.acaule in the way of construction , had to have inspections ect. land owners permission.
I went up there and helped him , did not make a dent in what was there .
They built Condos. on the ground , it was so beautiful , huge pines , peat bogs ,a stream, 6 foot high ferns , ruined G
