FYI, the forum has a valid SSL certificate since July 25th. I also was able to modify the orchidboard url to change it to https. If you change it once your browser normally should continue using https for the site each time you open it (but I assume that it will could depend on how your browser is configured).

I would echo what Camille says above. For well over a year I have been accessing OB via a bookmark that begins with https:// and the URL shown in my browser has been https://.
