Default After 18 months as a new grower

Switch from natural light from horizonal sky light and white adoby walls to summer east window with shear sun block during the summer and an hour of sun this winter.
Finally got shelves to raise my 25+ Phals, Onc's Zygopetalum (1) and 3 vandas that I baby each day and one yr old seedling has a tiny new leaf just noticed today.

All of them bought as bloomer and last year had lots of color and variety.

In Nov. had 3 mini phals and 3 standard spike and bud.
Only mishap was the first one that spiked grew fast to 2 feet and I bumped it and broke just below the six or seven buds. Put a bit of cinnamon on broken tip and now two months later, just below the break, yesterday I noted a secondary spike Yah.....

I have kept an eagle eye on all those other spikes with buds and was rewarded this morn with my First Ever blossum, a lovely mini with deep purple.
I am so excited!!! lots of color soon. Now I have to determine if it is a NOID mini, or a formerly identified that I forgot to put the tag with name back in pot....Beginner mistake that I will try not to make again. I saved all those misplace IDs and with photos I will be able to ID some of them again by comparing it photos

Photos to follow after I figure out how to post them again by reading Sticky on pics.

early ------ that is absolutely fantastic! That's the things I like to hear!

You're beyond beginner level now, that's for sure.

The description of the first bloom sounds very very nice. Mini with deep purple.
