Default J&L Orchids

I have been a fan of J&L as long as I've been growing orchids and I've been concerned about them closing as they have been for sale for quite some time. Last October I was lucky to attend a show near Baltimore and had a nice visit with Cordelia as she helped me fill a box with miniature orchids. Cordelia is a sweetheart!

I found a post on Facebook yesterday showing a picture of one of the new owners of J&L ! I am happy to see they will continue as one of my favorite vendors.

I just wanted to share!

Someone bought them, then? I had no idea! I was just browsing their website yesterday and it looks the same.
I am so glad. I love that place, too.

I had not visited their site in awhile but it used to state that they were for sale.

I follow Al's Facebook and he posted a picture yesterday of Seinbear and one of the new owners apparently visiting Al's. I'm so happy to see they are sold, I hated to see Parkside close.

If you use Facebook, search for Al's orchid greenhouse. Cute picture!

I randomly stumbled across the fact that they had been sold, but I'm not sure from where.

I too am glad they successfully sold and the business is sticking around. I have bought a decent amount of plants from them and they ALWAYS have something I want at the shows I attend... The last one was a rather large Laelia sincorana. I usually spend a great deal of time at their table

It's always a relief when, somehow, our favorite local vendor stays alive! And that reminds me, I need to make a trip to Peach State some time soon!

J & L Orchids did get sold. Cordelia Head is still easing the new owners into the business. It is now owned by the Carreno family, according to their new website www.jandlorchids.com.

It looks like the new owners have the right interests and attitude to maintain this unique and essential orchid nursery. Wishing them every success.

So glad to hear this. I too have been a bit worried. I have ordered from them a couple of times and had very good luck.

It looks as if the new owners will continue the wonderful reputation that J&L has been known for. I have purchased from them many times and never had a problem.

So happy to see they will remain in business!
