As usual I am late to the party. I can only guess that the ones that have now taken there posts off this thread have decided they were very much in the wrong. And would like our forgiveness. I am going to give mine for all concerned and know I will never see all that was written.

The only thing I will say is I just wish they would have given it to silken when she was kind enough to give her apology. I have never been nor will be a moderator as I don't understand the computer well enough. I wish everyone would calm down and get over perhaps being a bit of a turd. Everyone makes mistakes and I do mean everyone.

A few facts:

I apologized IN PRIVATE to Silken who clearly didn't want my apology.

As a result, I have sent a request to the forum owner to delete my account here and remove all contributions I have made to the forum.

If you want to persist in making me out to be The Bad Guy in this matter, you are free to do so. I'm done here.

Best wishes,
Paul

You're as far from the truth as far can be.

This is not entirely true. His apology included some I'm sorry's that the thread was deleted and I am sorry that people don't want to talk about the intellectual things or something to that effect. Those points do not sound like an apology to me and the way I was treated. They sound like he is feeling sorry for himself. He also firmly put the blame of him withdrawing from Orchid Board on my shoulders. Doesn't really sound like a heart felt apology to me. In the end I told him why I didn't acknowledge him and told him if he meant it I did accept it.

I also tried to encourage him to step back and take a break rather than withdrawing from the board. His reply was that he had made up his mind.

No wonder the world is never at peace when there is such negativity over 1 single issue such as this.

If you are going to cherry pick which parts of my apology you wish to present for public consumption, that is your prerogative.

As I said everyone makes mistakes. I don't know why everyone is getting so touchy. I very much could be wrong as I said I will never see what was posted and I also know it is hard to know how a poster in a forum is thinking.

Just is a bit strange now you all are, or are wanting to deleting all controversial posts. I think it is a shame that all of these people are now quieting the board.

And yet you are quick to state:

"I can only guess that the ones that have now taken there posts off this thread have decided they were very much in the wrong."

That sounds to me very much like condemnation and judgement based entirely on speculation. And you wonder why people are getting upset??

Sorry if it came across that way, as I didn't mean to condemn either of you. I am only stating how it looks to me coming in late to the thread. Like I said it is very hard to understand on a forum whats in others heads. And I am sure I will never know whats in yours, just as you will never know whats in mine. I think this whole thing is very sad and I hate to see all these people quiet over something like this.

But it is all the pot calling the kettle black, as I was speculating about why you both deleted your posts and you are speculating that I think you thought you were all wrong or why would you delete? And before you speculate about that, I don't think it is my right to know why.

Shannon, in this case I am offended that you presumed I felt I was wrong, and that I felt I needed forgiveness. Your presumptions are why I am now deleting all of my posts I can find before I take my leave of this horrible, judgemental, mean-spirited place. To put such words in my mouth as you have is simply more than I will accept.
