Marble Ranch Farm anyone?? Female
Default

I have bought from them in past. Not sure if I will continue to buy there because my last deal was not that great.
First of all, customer service was very good and my e mails with concerns were answered in reasonable time frame and they offered taking back plants I was unhappy with, and offered to refund mailing as well. This kind of courtesy made me change my mind and keep the plants even though they were not to my satisfaction.
When I started ordering from them 3 years ago, plants were smaller than expected but usually near blooming size and bloomed in a year -so it was not a long long wait.

Cost was a bit high for me and also the shipping but not too bad and they had nice selection.

However last year when I ordered a 6 inch size plant , I found 3 tiny seedlings in a 6 inch pot. They explained that the plants were healthy and will grow quickly . I Ordered single plant you would expect from 6 inch pot advertisement...not 3 tiny seedlings in an oversized 6 inch pot. Not cool with me. Their 6 inch plant advertised was cheaper than same size plant at other vendor, which is the reason I went to Marble Branch. I wanted blooming size plant and if I knew they had 3 tiny seedlings only I would have gone to other vendor. And this was not a hard to find variety, I just wanted from a Florida grower.
Any way, I complained and they changed the description on the website and offered full refund. I was just too busy and fed up and did not want to go through repacking and mailing stuff back and they were very courteous hence decided to keep plants.
Plants were healthy and nicely packed. They even gave me a small bonus orchid (seedling of their cross) because I had ordered few others.
Mind you they were allowing me to keep that bonus plant even if I decided to return whole order. Very nice of them.

So, it was a mixed bag.

No more buying from them unless I am really really obsessed with a plant that no one else seems to have.
And then I will double check that plant is the size I want , not multiple seedlings!!
