Default Aloha Orchid Nursery??

Anyone ever ordered from them? I was doing some internet searching this weekend, and found that they have a very nice variety of the Brassolaelia (Bl.) orchids that I am so fond of but have a hard time finding! I ordered seven (ugh...I have no room) plants!!! I have been searching for some of these varieties for a long time, so went kinda crazy. The prices seemed really good too, most plants being around 20.00 for blooming sized mature plants. Hope it turns out well. And if it does, where in the world am I gonna put them?? If you want the link, here it is: http://www.alohaorchid.com/default.aspx

I'm so excited now!! It's like Christmas.

That's were the creativity of orchid growers really shines through:
-to fit in plants that there obviously is no room for!
-to grow & flower plants that don't fit our conditions!
-to get them into the house w/o anyone knowing!
-to pay for them without it showing up on the visa!

That is the best feeling when those packages arrive!

Thumbs down Aloha Orchid Nursery

I hate to be a broken record about this, but I have have a lot of trouble with this company, as have many others. I will share the gory details via PM if you are interested.

But you might be one of the lucky ones. Since you have already ordered, I hope your order goes well.

Oh no!! Please do go ahead and share. Even if you have before, I am sure there are other newbies that have not heard. If you had a bad experience, maybe it will help me to know, and the "vendor feedback" section would be the place to do it! Thanks for the information though.

Sorry Justin, but the open board is not the place for vendor bashing If you would like to know the details, you can PM Maba for it.
Everybody should keep in mind that while it's helpful to have such information, it should not be written in stone. We've probably all purchased from a vendor and were unhappy with the product. This does not mean that the same thing would happen to everybody.

Maba- just saw your post, thanks

As Sgt. Joe Friday says....
“Yes, sir. No, ma’am. Just the facts, ma’am.”

Well, the facts are all I have to give. One woman's sorry experience and warning. I am the first to praise a vendor for a job well done, and I make a point of doing so, but I think it is a public service to do the reverse as needed also. Until you tell me otherwise, I will respond to PMs about this vendor. If you want me to just go away and not mention uncomfortable topics, I can do that, too.

I agree of course that "vendor bashing" should not happen on an open board, but there is a bid difference between bashing and presenting the facts of what happened to one's personal experience. In a forum titled "vendor feedback", I would expect factual information about different people's experience, the good, the bad, and the ugly. If not, then why have this section? Otherwise it should be titled, "only good vendor experiences". If I have a bad experience, I should be able to present those facts (not bashing, just the facts) in such a place, no? Perhaps I am missing something. I think this type of information is exactly what a board like this is for.
