Default Mostly Good Experience with Larry's Orchids

Hello all,

Just a quick update on my order to Ebay's Larry's Orchids:

I ordered three Phal seedlings.
Phal equestris
Phal stuartiana
Phal amboinensis

Two arrived in perfect condition but my equestris got mangled. . .it's missing two leaves on one side and a big chunk of its largest leaf on the other side.

I wrote to Larry's orchids and asked that they please, please replace it. They wrote back that they would be happy to replace it for me. They asked that I unpot it, smash it flat and mail it back to them in an envelope along with the ID tag. They would replace it on the next shipping day and refund the postage for the return.

I only have one problem. I can't do it! I can NOT squash it flat to mail it back. It's an ugly duckling but I can't kill it, on purpose. I told them I'll keep it and accept it as is.

So how do I resolve this ugly duckling problem?

I bought another one, a larger, hopefully prettier one, at Oak Hill Gardens LOLOLOL along with:

Dend. unicum
Dend toressae (Thanks Solana for the head's up on their inventory!)

P.S Also testing out my text links. . .I've added blue and underlined them, so you don't miss em.

Gwen, thanks for the color change

I'd do as they request and squash it flat. Do you think they'll ever sell thiss guy again?

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
