Exclamation New eBay seller: orchid_master

Just thought I would post this so others could beware! I was browsing eBay just a few minutes ago and noticed there is a new seller by the name of orchid_master who as recently changed names from taylor_bill. But upon looking at pictures posted, low low prices, and other deals such as 2-for-1....this seller looks to be the same as eBay seller bill_asia who also has an eBay store by the name of Royal Orchid Club full of good for nothing deals in my opinion. Maybe these sellers are not related...but it almost looks as if their plants may be coming from the same place since they both have a shipping schedule that seems all to familiar! Tempting tempting deals....but risk of plants received with root rot no thank you!

I noticed that, too. Becca. As I was eyeing a plant I was interested in. When I saw the seller had no feedback, I questioned it and found it was due to a name change. You are accurate in your findings.

Good to know that! I have also purchased from him in the past. And I think that is pretty fishy and rotten to change your name. Unless you have a big disclaimer saying that you were formerly known as Royal Orchid Club. That shouldn't be allowed!

Thanks for the info. I bought from bill_asia not knowing anything at the time I gave him positive feedback. I only bought seedling the first time 4 out of 6 are doing great. But the second time I bought a vanda blue with a spike. when it arrived the roots looks a little weak and the spike stopped growing and died. I will NEVER buy from them again. Lesson learned thanks again

Yikes! Good thing I looked at this thread before placing an order. I was kind of leary anyway since the seller had no feedback yet and was already being generous enough to offer two-for-one specials. Had almost purchased a V. Mimi Palmer from bill in asia (royal orchid club or whatever the name is). I think I'll sadly keep searching for the lovely Ms. Palmer elsewhere on the net. Thanks for the info' to all of you who were acting as watchdog for this seller!

Unfortunately many of us have learned the hard way. Don't be to discouraged....many of the seedlings I bought I have managed to bring back with alot of patience. Several I had to completely restart the root systems....well I would say more like 99% of them. I also bought a dendrobium that I have posted some threads on as well from bill_asia that was in spike with 2 others that were in spike. Only one really made it, but the one that was showing signs of stress, I took pictures and he resent me a replacement, that was in just as bad shape so I decided to just not deal with him anymore rather then get more peeved at him. Most of the plants usually arrive severly dehydrated and stressed. I haven't found much to help them. All of the seedlings ended up in moss or sphag-n-bag and it took litteraly 3 or 4 months for them to make a decent turn around, some I lost. Sorry to send you to bed peeved....but who knows, maybe the one's you get might be okay. But just remember....if prices seem to be to good to be true, then don't do it!

Eeeps Candice, I hope you have good fortune and your plants turn out okay, and even if they are a bit bad if you put the time and effort hopefully you can salvage them...

I was personally looking to buy some orchids from him but his feedback wasnt that great so I passed, sometimes you pay for a deal...

Someone should report him for being faulty with his offerings--essentially misleading the customer...I can imagine how frustrated you are *hugs*

Good luck candice...
