Schwerter Orchideenzucht Order

Hello Everyone,

My latest little batch of babies has just arrived This is the first time I've used Schwerter and I'm really pleased. I ordered sunday evening, they were dispacted on tuesday and arrived this morning (friday).

A couple of the plants had notes saying that the were recently re-potted after import and need time for rooting, but they look in pretty good shape at the moment, so I hope I can keep them that way. Also, the two Dtps are still in little 'moss pots' and need to be transferred to bark with the next year, but again, I think that's fine.

Now, for the really good bits - the Lynleigh Koopowitz has a bud and the two Dtps have spikes None of which I was expecting. The only down side is that the sogo vivien spike got broken in transit. I've put the half with the buds (it's only about 3 inches long) in an egg cup with water, so you never know, one might open a bit.

Yeah! Another angraecum! Your new additions look great! It's always like a holiday for me when my orchid order arrives!

Thanks guys Yes, Daethen, the varigated leaves was what tipped it into the basket. I've never been too keen on veined flowers, but Vivien (with the leaves) was too cute!

Dounoharm, the shipping was great, it definately made up for costing so much!

..and Leafmite, bring on the Angraecoids! I have a feeling that under the gravel top, it's packed moss. So, I'm probably going to have a root around and tweezer some out like I did with the Didieri. However, it's safe for a couple of days as I've got my dad's 65th birthday party to organise and cater this weekend!
