I just thought of another idea!!!

In the San Francisco Bay area TV station 7 has a segment called "7 On Your Side." People submit problems they are having and the station selects some and pursues the issues for them. See if one of your stations have this sort of thing (or the newspaper). Even if they don't, contact them all and get THAT sort of public pressure going. With the human interest involved in your case (special gifts and the like) one or more of them is likely to pick it up.

It may not be the same, but money to replace lost items is better than not replacing them at all.

So the plot thickens!
I had replied to an email the owner (or manager, not sure on that) sent me and haven't heard a response. The complaint I submitted w/the BBB was answered yet the owner/manager asked for information I had already supplied via that email reply. So I went back and reviewed the emails I have sent to this company and have found that the email the owner/manager used to contact me last (orchidexchangeportland@hotmail.com, which shows up in the "from" line as being sent from "Matthew White", the owner/manager and that I replied to with the last letter of complaint, is neither of the email addresses he has used or asked me to use in the past, these are, 'info@orchidexchange.net' and 'matt@straubphoto.com'. Mr White has never mentioned this email address and I suspect it is one created solely for this matter. This company has claimed to be acting in "good faith" and then this underhanded move! Also as I had mentioned many of the orchids we had bloomed around the same time of year, each year. This was expressed to the orchid exchange only to stress the fact that these plants brought great joy to our family because around these special dates - not on these dates - we looked forward to seeing the plants in bloom. Mr. White/orchid exchange has somehow now misunderstood this and thinks I have told him that they bloom on actual specific dates, I am at a loss and next stop is small claims.
That email campaign sounds like fun, anyone up for it?

Thanks!

A Riehle
