Thumbs up Haul from Little Frog Farms

A few members have previously bragged on the great plants they purchased from Rob Halgren at Little Frog Farms near Lansing, MI. At the time, he was only selling to walk in customers.

Lucky for me, Rob was nice enough to ship me a box of orchids last week. They are all large established plants which I potted up into 4", 5" or 6" pots:

1. Den (Kuranda Classic x Mother Teresa 'Arbec' AM/AOS) x Den. Burana White

2. Den[(Halawa Lois x Esumi Blue) x Kiyoshi Beuty]x
Den, bigibbum var. compactum 'Hartford' HCC/AOS

3. Wils. Aloha Sparks

4. Dgmra. Flying High 'Pacific Paradise' AM/AOS

5. Wils. Lisa Devos 'HOF #5'

6. Onc Heaven Scent 'Sweet Baby'

7, Phrag longifolium

8. Phrag Saint Peter 4N
(Phrag Eric Young 4N 'MM' AM/RNS x
Phrag longifolium 4N)

9. Paph (topperi x victoria-regina)

10. C Walkerinter x Angelwalker

12. C Portia ' True Blue' x (C loddigesii x amethytoglossa)

13. Blc Oconee x Erin Kobayashi

15. Bc Maikai 'Mauumi'

16. Slc Fire Magic

18. C leopoldii 'Mendenhall'

19. Lc Spring Fires x R. glauca

They are all back under the trees in dappled light for a few weeks until they settle in to their new pots.

If interested, contact Rob Halgren at (rob@littlefrogfarm.com).

Thumbs up Little Frog FArms

I chose to have them shipped bare root. I knew they were going to need to be potted up a size or two. Bare root meant more could fit in the box and weigh much less.
To North Carolina, 20 plants cost $20 to ship. Very cost effective.

Yeah, I guessed good on the shipping for that one... Might not be so lucky for me next time. Believe it or not, that fit into a cubic foot box. I don't like to ship bigger than that, the post office gets cranky (and expensive!!!). Packed tight!

Plenty more where that came from, but I'm mostly out of the oncidium intergenerics. Lots of cattleyas ('mini' and what I call 'midi' - a few standards too). A bunch of phals, but they are looking a bit picked over.

And, since I uncorked the genie, yes, I will ship some to you too. First come, first serve, and your patience is appreciated if this gets out of hand. I am moving in one month, so the more I can sell ahead of time the better. If you bring a truck, I'll make you a super sweet deal...

Rob
