Orchids in Edmonton?
I am going to Edmonton next week, and I am wondering if there are any orchid vendors in the area. I am looking for mostly seedlings and minitures. I would also like to try a flask or two.

Oscarman (Dave) could probably give you more info or vendors. I don't know them all yet. They aren't large businesses, but more private small ones.
Paramount orchids also comes to meetings if you want to send a order they will bring it down to meetings for members...(lol just pretend to be one or join since shipping by express post will cost about the same  )
I like Chuck (FatOldBaldGuy Orchids) because he sell lots of good phrags, but I have no contact info. I got most of my phrags from him (not that all phrags are miniature. I see miniature is what your looking for...phrag schlimii is a truely a mini phrag that I bought from him. From him, I also got Phrag Ecua-bess (similar to Olaf Gruss), Jersey and Waunakee Sunset which are compact. Yay ecua-bess is in spike again!)
Last meeting I got two masdevallias at a give away price....

Someone was basically gave away his masdevallia collection at two or three dollars a plant... I can't say that it happens all the time.
BTW thanks to whoever did that, I really am interested in keeping those masdevallias! and also very helpful for masd. newbies like me who needed a start a collection without spending too much
Doug Bovee from the Muttart conservatory is coming as a speaker. I know they have a large cool/intermediate growing collection (like masd.), but I don't know if he is bringing plants for sale
