Default The Orchid Trail

Anyone had any experiences with them? The greenhouse is in Morrisville NC. They list several hard to find Cattleya species (including a semi-alba C. Violecea!) that I've been searching for but no pricing...just wondering what I can expect. Thanks!

I went ahead and ordered a couple of species catts (C. Kerrii, C. Rex and C. Violacea Rubra x Tipo). The plants arrived today and are in beautiful condition. I'd only ordered one C. Kerrii, but ended up with 2 since Paul at the Orchid Trail felt neither were rooted enough. Both plants look like they'll definitely survive with a little extra care in my terrariums. He even included a couple of bags of lava rock to pot them in! Prices were reasonable as was shipping. Will definitely be ordering again!

Hello - I also find that Orchid Trail has a few species that I can't seem to find elsewhere. Or, they offer a mature division for only slightly more than a seedling-size elsewhere. I am mulling it over, but am leaning towards making an order for a Den. schuetzei (had one, squirrels destroyed) and also maybe an Octomeria and a Pleurothallis.
It would be crazy to only order one plant, after all.
Are you still happy with your plants, and find that they are doing well?
I'm not familiar with kerri, but rex and violacea are very, very desirable species. Luckily, catts are not my drug of choice!
Regards - Nancy
