Default Anybody Ordered From H&R Orchids in HI?

H&R has a couple of plants I haven't been able to find anywhere else that I'm considering ordering. Anybody have experience ordering from them? I know Steve has bought nice things from the greenhouse in person.

Thanks Sue! My order form is all filled out and ready to mail. I might just call them instead. Sure wish their website was set up a little better.

H&R is the standard to which I hold all other nurseries to. They rock! Enjoy what you get and dont worry about getting junk plants from them. It never happens.

P.S. Definitely call them if your looking for specific plants. They tend to have a stock of "secret" plants in the back. If its a Catt, Dend hybrid or even Catasetums, theres a chance you might get lucky with their stash!

I tried calling yesterday, but just got the answering machine. I went ahead and mailed my order, and am crossing my fingers they have what I want.

Den. atroviolaceum 'Pygmy' x 'Little Elf' and Pot. Hoku Gem 'Freckles'. I had a much longer list but decided I better behave since I'm going to have to make some space for these two as it is!

My plants arrived today, and I'm very pleased with them. They both look very healthy, and the Den. has two blooms on it. They look like they are about at the end of their cycle but at least I got to see them. It looks like it has about 3 new growths in various stages of maturity. The Pot. is very nice too. I wasn't here when the arrived. Will have to ask DH tomorrow what the packing was like. At any rate. I think their prices are good and shipping was very reasonable to the westcoast mainland. I will order from them again.

Just took a survey. Most of my surviving healthy orchids are from H&R. I grow in the house with forced air heat and still mange to have them grow and bloom well.

Here are some photos of the easiest to grow and bloom.
