As a follow up to my post:

The plants were delivered yesterday while I was out of town, fortunately, we had a milder day yesterday (as some days are still hitting the 90’s).

The plants received were, like some members had previously said, very large and impressive. They are currently in quarantine. I did see some bugs crawling on one, but honestly looked like a predator mite and I didn’t see anything that looked like pest damage.

The quality of the plants are very good, but lack of communication and shipping time were sorely lacking considering the shipping city is only a 7 hr drive from me.

I recently bought an Oncidium intergeneric from Triton. I had noticed some bad reviews too, but I had been looking for this one for a while, so I rolled the dice.

Yes, it did take them a long time to ship, but the plant arrived in great shape. It had two new growths started, and they are coming along very nicely (I've only had the plant about three months), but I have to say that overall I'm satisfied.

After reading all this, I can see that he can be unreliable, and I got lucky and others did not. That being said, he's certainly a much better seller that everybody's favorite eBay seller who routinely sends the wrong plant and then tells you, "No, that's the right plant. You're just confused."

Well, I ordered mid week last week, and got a shipment notice today (about 10 days before forecast), so that's good. Obviously I can't say how the plants look yet
I jumped on some miltonia/miltonopsis hybrids (Colmanara, Miltonia, and Vuylstekeara) that seem less likely to be found. It's a rematch, I lost both a Colm and a Vuyl from an order 3 or 4 years ago, must try again).

Ok, the orchids came.
The Milt 'Sunset' looks beautiful and has a small flower spike about 2 weeks from opening.
The two plugs (Vulk and Colm) featured sponge grown plants (nearly bareroot) with a couple of PBs (for the price I'm still pleased). I wasn't so pleased that the PBs themselves were extremely extremely dessicated, even though the leaves looked fine.
I also wasn't pleased that the plugs were only labeled #1 and #2. My eyes can't tell the difference in foliage (if there is any).
I contacted Michael and asked him if he'd let me in on the code for which was which. He said as soon as he got home (Friday), it's now Sunday, I guess he hasn't made it home yet. Oh well, the labels were loose anyway, and I have little more than 50% faith of which one should have been attached to which growth.
So Caveat Emptor is my recommendation.
