Wow. That first one is really bad. Is that the dowiana? The last three look in bad shape but salvageable. The first two though look DOA. I got my plants and they were all fine thankfully. I even got the Fulvescens and the Lew.

The first pic is the two dowianas. I won't be trying to salvage any of these plants.

Every encyclia leaf is 50% char.

The phal gigantea would have been tiny, even if the leaves had stayed on (only one stayed attached and its heat damaged at the base). They should say it is a tiny seedling on their website since they always ship blooming sized plants.

And the cattleya dominiana coerula (1859) that may survive but is actually two small plants? It is not a dowiana hybrid at all (not called out on their website). The cattleya dominiana (1899) is a dowiana x purpurata cross. Mine is an intermedia x maxima, which is quite annoying and disappointing.

I ended up with two small plants for the fulvescens too. Not so happy about that. I may tempt fate and order a Cattleya Arcadio Arosemena in the future. I think the heat really ends up destroying these plants in shipping.

I was able to get mine in-person from the LIOS festival and I credit their good condition to that. I have gotten plants in the mail from Ecuagenera before and they have not been in good condition by the time they made it to my house.

Additionally, if you get them in-person at the show, you can check them on the spot. I wish you luck on your inevitable quest for a refund.

Also, is that a violin scroll in the corner?

Ouch...that looks pretty bad. Sorry that happened and especially sorry the dowianas look completely gone! I hope they make good on replacements.

Yes, heat damage. I paid extra for 2-day and the plants arrived in late May in good shape.

Those look awful. They got horribly toasted! Enough to make one cry. I hope that they don't give you any grief about refund. Every penny. Any that might be rescue-able would be a bonus but that's just inexcusable.

Yes, that's my fiddle I've been playing a little over a year now.... I play a few other instruments, but banjo is my main thing. "Clawhammer" comes from one of the banjo styles I play

Wow- that is so depressing!
You get all excited about an order and you open the box to find that mess. Ugh.
