Default Today's order from Marlow's Orchids

I received some plants from Marlow's today. All were in good shape. I was surprised at the size of the Bulbophyllum glebulosum plant. It is a division in a 5" / 12.5cm pot, difficult to see because hidden by the plant. I think I need to pot it into something low and wide. Sorry about photo quality; it's dark here, and it rained last night just enough to smear dust all over my pickup.

Sweet. They sell great plants. Shame to be losing them as a nursery.

That looks like it is ready to be divided at least once!!

Get a bulb pan and fill it with rock wool cubes or coir. Or mix em. Let it ramble and as the plant reaches out of the pot it will realize that is where the water is and turn back. Bulbophyllum are incredible.

I wonder if I have a division of the same plant, I picked up a very large cutting of a no ID bulbo. that looked in similar fashion to your photo from Marlow's not too long after your post (they were local to me). Jim did not have a tag for it and it was the last in stock... may be coincidence but might not!

Have you had blooms on yours?
I have not gotten blooms yet since I took it home.. but instead I've had three new growths and working on a 4th. I will have to play around with lighting to see if that triggers a spike.

I killed it when I had surgery in August 2021.

Revisiting this thread as my division of this bulbo. (no ID) just bloomed yesterday for the first time for me!

Haven't had a chance yet to compare pictures to any databases, does anyone here have any ideas about it's identity?

It does have a fragrance, it's spicy like chile powder with a little funk to it. Reminds me of tamarind.
