Hello everyone ,

Since I recently lost my collection, I want a fresh start. I just moved to my permanent home and can grow orchids again. But this time, I'd like to try new things.

Does anyone have any spare unwanted seedlings they're getting rid of? I've never bloomed a seedling before and want a go at it . I've had good luck growing dendrobiums and phalaenopsis so if anyone has spare worthless seedlings maybe from a garbage cross or just thinning out please tell me. I cant splurge but $2-4 dollars. I want to get started before spring ends. Thanks!!!

Hi there. I don't have any seedlings but I do have several Catt crosses (some without names) that were going to be thrown away at an orchid swap a couple of years ago. They were from a nursery in AR that was cleaning out stock.

I have been nursing them back to health for the past 2 years and as they bloom, I find them new homes. If you are interested, I can take some pictures.

I would need to be reimbursed for the postage, but I am happy to give you the chids as they are taking up a lot of room. All of them are mature plants and have bloomed or should bloom this year.

I also have some Cymbidiums but they are not blooming sized. You are welcome to those too. All would be shipped bare root as that makes them lighter in the postage but they would be well wrapped. The cyms are on my gallery page already so you can check it out.

Let me know.

Kind regards,
Melissa aka shadytrake

Hey there,

I think you had asked me about seedlings and I didn't get back to you. Sorry 'bout that. I have been so busy (I hate that excuse but it is the only one I have).

If you want to reimburse me for postage I will send you some seedlings. Please PM me privately your address. I think I still have some of the ones you bought from me last year.

I don't have any seedling but I know Carmella orchids sells plugs. I have bought these and they are very healthy. They sell 25 plugs for 29.00. and they are running a sale which I most likely will take advantage of. 80 plugs 8 different kinds plus 30 free plugs (all vendors choice) with free shipping. for $70.00. I know there are a lot of duplicates but you can sell some or give some away.

Whats nice about having some many you can try different methods of caring for or mounting material. Great way to practice and gain knowledge.
