Gastrochilus japonicus is a native orchid here. It lives in humid forest in low mountains.

I love this orchid, thanks for sharing! I had one some years ago as one of the OB project plants, but it died a couple years afterwards of a sudden and swift case of rot. I have never managed to locate a replacement, it seems fairly rare at european vendors.

Nice! I have one, and enjoy it very much - but can never get a decent photo of the blooms! Thanks for sharing your excellent photo!

Thanks. Although it is a native orchids, but it did not like our summer.
In hot days, it should water regularly and kept in the shade area to avoid dehydration.
