Vanda merrillii
This is one of my favorite plants in my collection. The plant is well over 2 feet tall and has a couple of keikis. I use a counterweight (Gatorade bottle filled with water) to keep the plant from tipping. It was already established and leaning in the basket when I had purchased it years ago, so I decided not to mess with it since it was flourishing. I wish the picture was able to capture the flowers' beauty, but using my phone to take pictures of a plant that's in a tree wasn't the best way to accomplish that task. If the flowers are still in bloom when I get this plant out of the tree and back in for winter, I will repost some better pictures.

Thank you! It is big, but I just reassure myself that it is much prettier than a silk tree and it taking the place of that, lol. |

The plant is only outside during the summer months, it is grown in a solarium during the fall/winter/early spring.

Thank you so much for the kind words! It had a few more flowers but some type of pest sniper them right off of the spike, it's super irritating. |

Magnificent blooms in its classic color and form. Its hard to grow Vandas that big, CONGRATULATIONS!
