I am interested in buying of of these since its a vanda cross and I think I will be able to keep this alive better then a pure vanda. I cant find any info of this kind and I was wondering if someone here knew about it and could help me before I buy.

I need to know the basics, watering, humidity, does it need to be in a hanging basket or can it be in a put or mounted? Anything else is helpful. Thanks.

Anything in the Vanda tribe is going to be a challenge in a cold, dark winter. I would suggest you work your way up to those sometime in the future, after you have a decent light setup. First grow some easier orchids, and learn what healthy ones look like, and all the things that can go wrong in your climate.

Aeridovanda Kinnaree (Vanda denisoniana x Aerides lawrencea).

Start by looking at the culture for the parents. I'm not familiar with either, so I'm of no further help.

That should probably be enough light.

I have always loved the vandas but have been scared with the open root thing but I have watched some videos online about being able to pot the small on in nice heavy pots with a bark and rock mixture loosely. I am glad I have the light. Im still hesitant so we will see. April is still a ways away.

I have all my vandas in clay pots. They may come in a basket or bare rooted but when I get them home they go in the pot

You might want to check out how large these get. I was growing a couple of Aerides and a Vanda and they started to get really large. I ended up giving them away when I realized how very large they would get....
