Default Vanda Sansai Blue

My Vanda Sansai Blue has been in bloom for many weeks now and still looking lovely. I was practicing with some new flash equipment I got so here is a shot. There are 9 blooms just over 4 inches wide. The colour in this photo is quite true. I am sure last year it had paler, more blue blooms. I still really like it tho.

Thanks. Will look forward to pictures of yours. Is it a Sansai Blue or another one?

One is a pachara delight 'sakate' and the other one is a noID I got from home depot last summer. The one I got from home depot just rested for three weeks and put out another spike. These plants bloom very often and the blooms last for a while given proper light, fertilizer and water. They require more attention than other orchids and they need a lot of space. They are challenging to maintain but the way they grow and the presentation and quality of their flowers makes them a very unique and regal genre of the orchid world. If I would have to choose only one genre of orchid to keep it would be vandas.

I have had mine for 2 summers and it bloomed each summer/late summer. It may be capable of blooming more but mine live in a fairly cool greenhouse under artificial light in winter. It's why I chose one with quite a bit of coerulea in it. So it can withstand the cool temps. But the blooms seem to last for several months which is a bonus.
