I actually like both forms very much. I am always cautious about buying this plant without seeing the flower because the flowers vary so much in form and color. My previous coerulea was the lighter wild form.

I have both the wild form and the plant that you have. I both got it from Andy's.
I also got some grief on the same plant that you have; some upstart member 'trying to be know it all' told me its a hybrid....but I stuck to my tag and the trustworthiness of my grower.
Though the years they have developed the 4N coerulea and also 3N....with many variations of growing the specie.
If your grower says it is a Vanda coerulea specie....believe it.
Haussmann's is a reputable grower. I don't think they will taint their reputation by selling you a hybrid and pulling it off as a specie.
I would understand if it was a Taiwanese or a Thai seller....they tend to misspell or mislabel tags because they are not familiar with the western alphabet.
I think they are all vanda coerulea just in different forms and it is up to the buyer which one they prefer. The one in the picture in haussermann's website looks different from what they sent me but I was satisfied nonetheless as long as it is in the line of vanda coerulea. I was kinda excited to see which form I got! lol

I did end up getting it, I am so thrilled. Are you going to grow yours indoors in winter?
What type of light?
Did you keep it potted?
I grow other Vandas, but I want to make sure I give the best care to my new Coerulea!! Thanks for any advice.

Yes I'm growing it indoors for the winter and actually, it has sulked for me.. I was having problem with thrips eating the roots.. and at the same time, it threw out another spike for me but it blasted because it wasn't doing so well.. this just goes to show how much this species can flower in a year. I unpotted it and hanged it upside down and it hasn't shown much of an improvement.. it's hard to get the roots going and I find it finicky compared to the complex hybrids.. I will repot it bark mix and hopefully the roots starts picking up growth.

Don't you just hate bugs!! I'm sorry you are having those issues. Good luck with yours and I hope both of ours flower soon! I am keeping mine potted for now, although I may repot and have it in a south window.

Thanks! I got mine from Hausermann after seeing yours, but just got it recently. I repotted into fresh bark today. It is poking out a new leaf!
