Could not resist this one. I did not find much about the care, so would appreciate any tips. I just love the spikes and the size, awesome plant! I did remove from the pot of sphagnum and mounted it on cork slab, which I like more and seller recommended.

Stockings - I used them before, they hold roots much better and help the plant to attach to the mount faster than regular wire only:-) They will go away once roots are attached:-)

This I would think is a common enough orchid to get someone to give you advice. So bumping the thread up.
Its a beauty!!

Beautiful cluster of flowers. It must be fragrant. There is a sticky about Gastrochilus japonicus ....I am pretty sure the culture is similar.
I posted a thread not while ago when my Gastrochilus japonicus bloomed.... I follow the Japanese samurai method as I do my Neos and Sedireas....with the moisture in your atmosphere it is good to have this mounted instead of rotting the roots in moss in your environment.

---------- Post added at 03:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:24 PM ----------

here is a link to its culture, I hope this helps

Many thanks Bud, I did find yours so I do follow. It seems to enjoy mount, the second spike that was not open at the time of purchase is opening now too:-)
